I get a lot of questions about understanding songwriter publishing deals and while they can be a bit complicated, I decided to do this video to share what kinds of deals are offered and the key differences of them.

Be mindful that the opportunity of getting offered a publishing deal is to have great songs, so keep writing and utilize all accessible resources to get your music heard. And ALWAYS hire an attorney to negotiate and protect you from janky contracts. I know of some horror stories and wouldn’t want you to be the next one stuck in a deal and can’t get out!
