Hey yall it’s me Tami LaTrell! I’m currently in LA all week for the 2012 EMI Music Publishing Songwriter’s Conference where EMI producers and songwriters from all over the world unite and meet with record label executives to discuss current and future projects they need songs for. Spearheaded by music publishing executive, President of North American Creative Big Jon Platt, the conference provides songwriter’s and producers across all genres to collaborate each night in breakout sessions for the projects that were presented by the labels. Every year its like a family reunion for us because we travel so much in our own music careers and live in different cities, we don’t see each other alot. And this year is the biggest one ever with over 200 of us! So I’m so excited to be here, just to be in a room with like minds who have written some of the biggest songs on the charts is just a huge honor for me, really!

All of us have a divine gift that we share and it’s so good to know that we have a great team behind us that pushes and supports us as well. So I’ve been working with different writers and producers, some who have been signed for years, others who may just signed last month, but my sessions have all been successful and we have produced some great songs together! I have two more days of late sessions and then I will be heading back on Saturday to catch up on things in the H! I miss my daughter so much, it’s killing me but I’m using all that emotion in every session I have this week so I know it’s gonna pay off!

lol…but anyway, im about to get my day started, I love you guys and thanks so much your continued support…and in the words of our keynote speaker Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs: “…when the world dances off beat, wars are created and people die….so SAVE A LIFE and WRITE A HIT RECORD”!
